Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),

On behalf of the District librarians, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the many people who helped make the 3rd Annual NSBoro Reads Community Celebration such a success.

Despite some uncertain weather, more than 300 members of the Northborough-Southborough community came together for an evening that celebrated reading, community, and connection. Events like this remind us how strong our community is when families, educators, students, and volunteers come together around a shared purpose.

District librarians would like to extend a special thank you to the District administration and the parent organizations for their continued support. Their generosity and partnership helped make the event possible. We are also deeply grateful to the many volunteers who gave their time and energy to ensure the evening ran smoothly.

A brief video of the celebration, created from photos taken by Ryan Davey, captures many of the wonderful moments from the evening.

Looking ahead, librarians are excited to host several upcoming spring reading events for students across the district:

March 11, 2026: Read Across the ’Boros
High school seniors will visit elementary schools to read with younger students.

April 9, 2026: Author Visit with Jonathan Todd
The author and illustrator of Timid will lead engaging cartooning workshops for students.

May 30, 2026: Library Hop
The District will kick off summer reading with events at the public libraries and school libraries, including Trottier, Melican, Woodward, and Lincoln Street.

The Librarians are finalizing details for the Jonathan Todd visit and the Library Hop, and will share additional information with families as plans are confirmed.

Respectfully,

Gregory L. Martineau
